Spider Veins
Spider veins bother millions of people. They are a group of small dilated veins that appear close to the surface of the skin and resemble spider webs or tree branches. These veins usually appear on the face and legs.
Spider veins, or telangiectasias, are red, bluish or purple veins that can result from sun exposure, hormone therapy, the aging process, and heredity. With our YAG laser, we can effectively treat these by coagulating (clotting up) the blood in those tiny veins/capillaries, which are then reabsorbed into your body and slowly and naturally disappear. Some will actually disappear immediately and some will take up to eight weeks to resolve. Typically, only one or two treatments for each vessel are needed.
